Hi! my name is Jes Slaydon and I am a third generation printer at Swift Printing in Grand Rapids, MI.
We are a commercial print shop that is a Certified B Corp. We’re one of two print shops in the world that are a certified B Corp. That’s really important to me! If you’re not sure what that means I’ll tell you. We put our people, our planet and our community right up there with profits. I’m a tree hugger and for awhile felt like I was in a paradox. The reality is printing is always going to be around and fortunately paper is one of the most renewable natural resources. That being said, I want us to do it the right way, not the cheaper and easier way.
OK back to the mission of this page…
I love to do a lot of things, but one of my favorites are sending cards to friends and mentors. I think in 2009 I decided I was going to start making my own cards. Now 11 years later I finally have some done. (So to all those dreamers, it might take you longer than planned, but you can still do it!)
you can tell your friends with confidence that every stage from concept and design to printing that these cards were made with love and beyond the normal bench marks of sustainability.
They are silly, cheesy and a reflection of me. I hope you enjoy them!
